Parenting Programs

family-piggy-backKids Free To Grow offers Parenting Programs in a group setting to promote healthy ways of parenting. We use the Active Parenting and Nurturing Parenting programs as evidence-based curriculums.

Parent Café

This parenting group helps parents to build protective factors, promote deep individual  self-reflection and provide peer-to-peer learning. Parent Cafés are based on the principles of adult learning and family support.


Active Parenting: First Five Years

Kids Free to Grow uses the Active Parenting curriculum for most of our community based parenting programs. Held in a group settings, these Active Parenting Programs are designed to teach parents of children aged 0-5 to build their parenting skills. The programs emphasize cooperation, self esteem, and responsibility and promote non-violent discipline.


Nurturing Parenting Program

This parenting program is held in a group setting in which parent(s) or caregiver(s) learn and develop skills such as empathy, self worth, empowerment, roles & expectations plus discipline with dignity.


Circle of Parents®

Circle of Parents is a friendly, supportive environment led by Kids Free to Grow facilitator, parents and other caregivers. It’s a place where anyone in a parenting role can openly discuss the successes and challenges of raising children. Parents and Caregivers foster an open exchange of ideas, support, information and resources.


Infant Safe Sleep

Infant Safe Sleep is an educational presentation for parents and caregivers on creating a safe sleep environment for infants to help reduce the risk of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS).


Period of Purple Crying

This campaign educates parents and caregivers about normal, yet frustrating periods of crying common in infants. PURPLE (Peaking, Unexpected, Resists soothing, Pain-like face, Long lasting, Evening)
