DESCRIPTION:Kids Free to Grow is proud to partner with the JR Martin Community Center – Biddeford Recreation to host our weekly playgroup! \nLocated in Biddeford\, Maine\, our Tiny Tigers playgroup is the perfect place to bring your kiddo for fun and socialization! The Tiny Tigers playgroup is designed for children ages 0-5 and their parents or caregivers\, encouraging active play and community strengthening. The spacious auditorium located on the second floor of the community center allows for safe\, energetic play on tumble mats and balance bikes. Our designated areas for coloring\, blocks\, and sensory play allows kids who are younger to have safe\, stimulating play as well! \nMore than just for kids\, we encourage our families to interact with each other and strengthen their sense of community. As the child abuse and neglect prevention council for York County\, Kids Free to Grow focuses on the five Protective Factors: Parental Resilience\, Social Connections\, Knowledge of parenting and Child Development\, Concrete Supports in Times of Need\, and the Social-Emotional Competence of Children. The Tiny Tigers playgroup serves as an excellent resource for increasing resiliency and social connections\, bringing parents closer to their community and increasing their support. \nThere is no cost to attend the playgroup. We do ask for parents or caregivers to fill our a registration form once\, then all we ask is that you sign in when you visit. We hope to see you there!

SUMMARY:Virtual Nurturing Fathers
DESCRIPTION:The Nurturing Parenting Program is our family-centered trauma-informed curriculum designed to build nurturing parenting skills within family structures. The Nurturing Fathers branch of the curriculum focuses exclusively on men\, fathers\, and their unique experiences. Held virtually on every Thursday evening\, the evidence-based Nurturing philosophy has provided families with the knowledge and ability to connect and leader their families. We are proud to offer this program free of charge to our community. There will be 10 sessions in the series\, you must attend 8 of them for a full completion certificate. \nPlease submit your registration for the program before the class start time.
